In due course, Airtel promised to expand its network and make its services available throughout Odisha.
On Tuesday, renowned telecommunications company Bharti Airtel announced the opening of its 5G services in the Odisha cities of Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, and Rourkela.
The Kalinga and Birsa Munda stadiums in Bhubaneswar and Rourkela, which are hosting the next Men’s Hockey World Cup, respectively, have been equipped with superfast 5G capabilities, according to the business.
Customers will be able to use Airtel 5G Plus services in phases as the business builds up its network and completes the roll-out. According to a statement made public on Tuesday, users of fifth-generation mobile systems (5G)-capable devices will have access to the fast Airtel 5G Plus network without paying extra until the roll-out is more widespread.
Airtel promised to expand its network and make its services available throughout the state as soon as possible.
Bharti Airtel’s Chief Operating Officer for Odisha, Soumendra Sahu, stated, “We are overjoyed to supply the two arenas hosting the men’s hockey world cup with electricity. Customers inside the stadium may take use of a lightning-fast network that enables high-definition video streaming, simultaneous chats, rapid photo and video uploads, and more.”
He further noted, “Additionally, we are introducing our 5G services in the twin cities of Rourkela and Cuttack, as well as Bhubaneswar. Customers may now enjoy ultrafast networks with speeds that are 20–30 times quicker than those of the present 4G networks.”
According to the telecom, the addition of Airtel 5G Plus will strengthen all of its service offerings. Additionally, it will enable blazing-fast access to high-definition video streaming, gaming, multi-chat, quick photo uploading, and more. According to the corporation, Airtel 5G Plus would improve manufacturing, agriculture, mobility, education, health care, and logistics, which will help India’s economy thrive.
The rollout of Bharti Airtel’s 5G services in Hissar and Rohtak, both in Haryana, was also announced last week. The telecom behemoth said that customers of 5G-capable smartphones would be able to utilise the fast Airtel 5G network without having to pay an additional fee. This only applies while 5G services are being rolled out more widely.
