The brand’s newest product, the Honor 80 Pro Straight Screen Edition, was introduced in China. The new Honor 80 series smartphone has identical characteristics as the Honor 80 Pro model. The latest model includes a 6.67-inch OLED display and is available in three colours. With 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC powers the Honor 80 Pro Straight Screen Edition. A 4,800mAh battery with 66W rapid charging capability powers it.

For the single 12GB RAM + 256GB storage option, the cost of the new Honor 80 Pro Straight Screen Edition has been set at CNY 3,599 (about Rs. 43,300). Bright Black, Ink Jade Green, and Morning Glow (translated) are the available colour options in China right now. The new device’s official global launch information has not yet been verified, though.

The dual SIM (nano) Honor 80 Pro Straight Screen Edition has a smaller 6.67-inch OLED display with (1,080×2,400 pixels) resolution, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a 120Hz refresh rate. It runs on Android 12-based Magic OS 7.0 shell. The display is certified to provide 1,000 peak lumens, 1920Hz PWM dimming, and DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage. Its 12-gigabyte RAM, 12-core Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, and Adreno 730 GPU serve as its power sources.
The Honor 80 Pro Straight Screen Edition includes three cameras on its back: a 160-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture, an additional 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. There is a 32-megapixel AI camera with an f/2.4 aperture for selfies and video calls.
The Honor 80 Pro Straight Screen Edition has 5G, Bluetooth v5.2, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax, NFC, USB OTG, GPS, and a USB Type-C connector as connectivity options. A compass, gyroscope, ambient light sensor, and gravity sensor are among the sensors on board. For biometric authentication, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor is also included. The face unlock function is also supported by the updated version.
A 4,800mAh battery powers the Honor 80 Pro Straight Screen Edition and supports 66W SuperFast rapid charging. It weighs up to 193 grammes and has dimensions of 162.5×75,3×7.9mm.
