Amazing step of motorola and Jio
- Top-tier hardware and software capabilities are present in Motorola’s 5G devices.
- With its superior 5G network and Stand-Alone 5G architecture, Jio True 5G provides.
- Additionally, the businesses promised their clients better coverage.

On January 4, Motorola stated that it has introduced compatibility for Jio’s 5G network to 10 of its eligible smartphones sold in India. The smartphone maker has published software upgrades that will enable Jio’s True 5G functionality across its full 5G line. Jio’s Stand-Alone (SA) 5G technology will support 11-13 5G bands, widely considered to be among the finest in the market. Among the devices that will support SA 5G are the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra and Edge 30 Fusion. It’s also available in the Moto G62 5G, Motorola Edge 30, and Moto G82 5G models. The devices are divided into three categories: luxury, midrange, and cheap, and all of them have 5G chipsets.
Apart from 5G connection, the new Motorola 5G models have cutting-edge technology and software. According to the business, the features are designed to enable the seamless delivery of a safe and broad 5G network by utilising technologies such as 3 Carrier Aggregation and 44 MIMO, among others. Improved coverage is also guaranteed since the phones utilise an algorithm that allows them to move between 5G bands with ease. The Lenovo-owned business claims to offer “the most extensive and diverse portfolio of 5G spectrum across 700 MHz, 3500 MHz, and 26 GHz bands.”
Motorola Edge 30 Ultra, Motorola Edge 30 Fusion, Moto G62 5G, Motorola Edge 30, Moto G82 5G, Motorola Edge 30 Pro, Moto G71 5G, Moto G51 5G, Motorola Edge 20, and Motorola Edge 20 Fusion are among the Motorola 5G smartphones that are compatible with Reliance Jio’s – True 5G (SA) mode in India.
“Motorola smartphones give an exceptionally reliable, optimised, and fast 5G experience across price points,” said Prashanth Mani, Executive Director, Motorola Asia Pacific, “staying true to our commitment of giving True 5G – the most comprehensive, no compromise 5G smartphone portfolio to Indian consumers with support for up to 13 5G bands across price points.”
Sunil Dutt, president of Reliance Jio, stated that “all Jio users using Motorola devices will be able to access truly unlimited 5G internet under the Jio Welcome Offer in areas where Jio True 5G has or is being rapidly deployed.” Jio is built as a Standalone 5G network, making it the most advanced network of its kind.
Major cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Varanasi, Chennai, and Bengaluru currently have access to Jio True 5G. The carrier has pledged to offer 5G to “every town, taluka, and tehsil” in India by December 2023. The whole list includes more than 60 towns, districts, and regions.
Being the first OEM in the world to produce a 5G smartphone gives Motorola great pleasure. That isn’t entirely true because the Moto Z3 in question had a 5G mod that allowed it to function as a 4G phone with 5G connection. Although the MotoMod might be considered the first 5G phone given this argument, it wasn’t introduced until a few days after the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G. The Galaxy S10 is the first 5G phone to hit the market as a result.
