And these days we get to pick between dark, semi-sweet, “milk,” and white chocolate options. Aren’t we spoiled? Vegans, gluten-free / casein-free dieters, lactose intolerant consumers, and even those with multiple food allergies and gluten-free needs can literally choose from dozens of cute and tasty Easter chocolate options. Purdy’s Vegan Easter Eggs and Dark Chocolate Bunnies
This Canadian chocolatier ships to the U.S. and many other countries worldwide. Their Easter selection includes vegan dark and “milk” chocolate eggs. They’re also making several dark chocolate Easter bunnies, which are dairy-free by ingredients. But keep in mind that they don’t have separate vegan molds for the bunnies, so those are at higher risk for potential cross contamination with milk.

This chocolatier always makes our list since their manufacturing facility is top allergen-free. They offer “milk” chocolate, white chocolate, and semi-sweet Easter Bunnies in addition to Easter egg truffles, cream eggs, and an assortment of other fun white, milkless, and dark chocolate treats. Every year, you can expect the head chocolatier, Yochy, will make something new. This year, it’s a “Happy Smoochies” bunny box with their Hershey’s Kiss copycats inside and Nibbles, a “milkless” chocolate bunny holding a naturally colored white chocolate egg.

Every year, they release these bunnies so late that I think they aren’t coming back. But they keep returning! Don’t be fooled by the milk chocolate version. Look for the 72% cacao dark chocolate bunny specifically. It’s also certified organic and fair trade.

Lindt Dark Chocolate Easter Bunnies
This is one of those “accidentally vegan” treats. I really don’t think the people at Lindt had non-dairy as their goal, especially since many of their dark chocolate bars do contain milk. However, the Lindt Dark Chocolate Gold Bunnies that we spotted in the U.S. AND Canada, were made without dairy ingredients. (Note: Don’t let the “may contain” label confuse you.)

They always have a prolific Easter selection. This year, the bunny collection includes whyte, dark, mylk, strawberries & creme, date, Earl grey date, and sugar-free monkfruit chocolate varieties. This Austin chocolatier is new on our list. They released a vegan line of uniquely flavored truffles, but have gone more traditional with their dairy-free dark chocolate bunny. He’s bigger in person than he looks on their website, and is made with 8 ounces of chocolate.

Moo Free Big Organic Chocolate Eggs & Bunnies
This is actually an English chocolatier, but they do ship their delicious, big, hallow eggs to the U.S., too. I’ve tried one variety, and it was sweet, milky deliciousness. This year they’re really focusing their product line on the eggs, with a range of flavors, mini eggs for hunts, and caramel mini eggs. But they do still have their bunny bar available.

They make dairy-free chocolate Easter bunnies and bunny pops in 70% awajún dark chocolate, 50% awajún oat milk chocolate, or blonde (vegan white) chocolate. They also make elegant chocolate creme eggs in different all-natural flavors. Unlike most other brands, they use coconut sugar for sweetening and shun all types of lecithin.

I checked the ingredients on Lindor’s website, and unfortunately their Dark Chocolate Bunny DOES contain milk, according to their ingredients. Something has probably changed since you wrote this post. Thank you for the information though, I greatly appreciate it!
The website writing is incorrect. I just checked in store, at a couple stores, and it is still made without milk. If you click on the images on that same page, it shows a picture of the ingredients with no milk. Unfortunately, they just have an error in their ingredient listing (the writing specifically) on the Lindt USA website.

Chocolate-Emporium is a major ripoff. I ordered a chocolate assortment for Easter based on this site and what I received has chocolate popcorn with jellybeans. Absolutely nothing like what is pictured. Wish I had chose a different company listed.

I tried NoWhey for Christmas and paid 2 day upgraded shipping and didn’t get my package for 10 days. Have you had any issues with NoWhey and their shipping? I would love to keep supporting them but am hesitant since they don’t respond to customer service emails.
Hi Joan, you are the first complaint I’ve heard on shipping specifically for them, but they do often run a little too lean on staff. Getting a response from them can be difficult. I think they are a good company, just under-staffed beyond the chocolate-makers.
