Katz Gluten Free Rugelach is Free of Dairy, Nuts, and Soy, Too

Rugelach is a cookie-like pastry that originated in the Jewish communities of Poland. It’s usually crescent shaped, but Katz Gluten Free Rugelach comes in pinwheel shapes. Beyond the different look, it’s surprisingly similar to wheat-based rugelach, and sweetly satisfying, whether you have allergies or not!

Like Katz Loaf Cakes, some of their rugelach is sold in the freezer section and some in the bakery department at grocery stores. Look for these Cinnamon and Chocolate boxes in the deep-freeze and the Vanilla clam-shell package with other packaged pastries at your local store. Or, you can simply order all of them online.

Just like grandma used to make! But gluten free

    June 13, 2020

Rugelach has been a family tradition, so I’ve missed it since cutting out gluten and dairy. But these are perfect! Anyone who has tried rugelach knows the texture. It’s hard to explain, but this cookie was spot on for texture. Not soft, but not hard, like a perfectly thick pastry. I tried both the cinnamon and the chocolate. I liked the cinnamon best because it was more like traditional rugelach that I remember, but the chocolate was delicious and not overpowering. It has a light chocolate frosting-like filling.
