GoodBelly Probiotic Juice Drinks and Shots + Sparkling Water

By Alisa Fleming on May 13, 2024 Dairy-Free Creamy Beverage Reviews, In The News, News, Product Reviews

Updated May 2025! Over 15 years ago, NextFoods launched it’s first product line: GoodBelly Probiotic Juice Drinks. They were a unique new, naturally dairy-free alternative to the probiotic benefits of yogurt. Since then, they’ve had some varieties come and go, but these organic beverages continue to be their anchor. They’ve also kept some of their shots around, and last year they added refreshing prebiotic sparkling waters to their beverage selection. Their overall product look has also changed, but we’ll always remember that iconic GoodBelly smile.

Like so many brands, GoodBelly has evolved with the times. We were sad to see some old favorites go, but what matters most is what they offer today! We’ve got a quick guide to their current options by category.

GoodBelly Prebiotic & Probiotic Juice Drinks

These unique juices are sold in 4-serving cartons and are made with a base of organic pear juice, organic oat milk, organic blue agave fiber (for prebiotics), and bacillus subtilis de111® (probiotics). They boast 1 billion CFUs (live and active cultures) per 1-cup serving. Each of the following varieties is now gluten-free, and made with a blend of real fruit and vegetable juices:

    • Strawberry & Banana
    • Raspberry & Blackberry
    • Mango
    • Pomegranate & Blackberry
    • Blueberry & Açai

    GoodBelly Wellness Shots

Sadly, those adorable little smiling packages and my favorite supercharged shots (their SuperShots had 50 billion CFUs!) have been discontinued. But GoodBelly still offers their 10 billion CFU probiotics and is rolling out cute little Wellness Shots. These could be considered updated PlusShots. Each mini drink  contains 1 billion live active cultures and is fortified with B vitamins, vitamin A, vitamin E, and vitamin C. And they are launching in three of their original flavors:

    • Blueberry Acai
    • Mango
    • Strawberry & Banana

    GoodBelly Prebiotic Sparkling Water

This is GoodBelly’s first non-probiotic line. Instead, it focuses on the prebiotic fiber benefits of blue agave. Their newest drinks have zero added sugar and 20 calories or less in every serving. And each of the following varieties is flavored purely with real fruit juice:

    • Lemon Lime
    • Mango Pineapple
    • Mixed Berry

    Discontinued GoodBelly Flavors

The Peach Mango Orange, Immune Support Pineapple Passionfruit, Tropical Orange (No Sugar Added), Tropical Green, and Cranberry Watermelon flavors of GoodBelly Probiotic JuiceDrinks have been discontinued. Their StraightShots (Original, Lemon Drop, YumBerry, PlusShot) and SuperShots (Tropical Iron, Strawberry Kiwi Bone, Lemon Ginger, Vanilla Chamomile) have also been discontinued.

Great article! Just one little correction because I’m a nitpicker. According to your article no sugar tropical orange contains added cane sugar. I think it is an editing problem, or the transcription of the wrong label, not a “hidden sugar” in the product problem.

It’s hard to confirm, as that flavor has been discontinued. We’ve updated!

    Sweet and delicious

    June 9, 2020

These are quite tasty! They’re just a bit higher in sugars than I like to drink (I usually get their no sugar added shots), but I haven’t tried the no sugar juices yet. I’ll provide some notes on the flavors I have tried.

The Pomegranate Blackberry has a delicious, sweet, fabulous berry and pomegranate flavor. It was a bit too sweet for me as is, but fantastic mixed into smoothies.

The Mango reminded me of Odwalla’s mango smoothie. It was very drinkable and had the perfect mix of sweet and tart.

And finally, the Cranberry Watermelon had a slightly fizzy taste, and is definitely more of a “drink” than a juice. It was sweet, not as sweet as watermelon flavors can be, but without the tart cranberry notes I was expecting. But both my husband and I loved it over ice on a hot day.

I’m obsessed with the Troipcal Green flavor! So thick like a smoothie and delicious!

I am a huge coconut water fan and I thought this product was excellent when we tried it. Nice and light and delicious.
