Disneyland: Your Dairy-Free Guide to Food & Dining at the Parks

By Alisa Fleming on March 2, 2026 In The News, News, Travel

Updated for 2026! Disney World is an iconic spot for allergic travelers, but what about Disneyland? It doesn’t get as much coverage, but Disneyland in Anaheim, California can still be a great allergy-friendly vacation. This quick guide covers the dairy-free food (including vegan options) to look for in each section of Disneyland Park, California Adventure, Downtown Disney, and the on-site Disneyland Hotels. We also have a section for Snack Carts to watch for in the Parks.

Disneyland Dairy-Free Guide - All the Food Options at Disneyland Park, California Adventure, Downtown Disney, and Disneyland Hotels with plant-based and gluten-free options, tooPhotos from Disneyland. The information in this post is from Disneyland allergy guides and menus, and from reader recommendations, but we are not affiliated with Disney.

Disneyland: Your Dairy-Free Guide to Food & Dining at the Parks

For Disneyland Park and California Adventure we’ve grouped the eateries by theme sections in the parks. Using the map of the parks, we’ve listed these sections clockwise from the entrance – or heading left when you enter the park. If you discover any changes, or find some additional dairy-free options, kindly leave a comment!

Please Note: In many cases, the dairy-free or food allergy-friendly options at Disneyland require special ordering. So always let the staff know what your dietary needs are and if you have a food allergy. Disneyland restaurants have protocols in place for handling allergy orders. Menu items and ingredients are subject to change at any time, and potential cross-contamination with allergens should always be considered a risk in commercial kitchens. The following is a guide for informational purposes. It is intended to help with your planning, but should not replace your own due diligence. Only you can decide what is “safe” for your needs.

    Disneyland Park: MAIN STREET

    • Candy Palace and Candy Kitchen (all day / night snacks) – Of course, they have several candies that are dairy-free. But some other fun finds here include kettle corn, cinnamon candied apples, and Enjoy life chocolate bars and breakfast ovals (with Mickey packaging).
    • Carnation Cafe (breakfast / lunch / dinner) – This is a favorite stop for allergy-friendly Mickey Mouse-shaped waffles. They can be ordered with sausage and bacon. For lunch and dinner, they have a nice little vegan menu with a garden salad, veggie burger, brownie a la mode, and ice cream float. You can also get milk allergy friendly chili and hamburger sliders.
    • Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor (afternoon / night snacks) – It looks like they have discontinued the vegan ice cream, but they still have Outshine frozen fruit bars.
    • Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe (lunch / dinner) – They are open for breakfast, but they don’t have any regular dairy-free options in the morning. For lunch and dinner, they have a garden grain salad, turkey ciabatta sandwich, and kids turkey sandwich.
    • Market House / Starbucks (all day / night snacks) – This is essentially a Starbucks, with the same menu. See our Starbucks Dairy-Free Guide to help with options. They also have local items, like a coconut yogurt parfait and packaged snacks like Uncrustables.
    • Plaza Inn (breakfast / lunch / dinner) – This is a good spot or a signature breakfast with dairy-free Mickey waffles, eggs to order, potatoes, and meats. Their lunch and dinner menu has changed, and now requires more custom ordering for dairy-free guests. Nevertheless, they are good at accommodating allergen requests.
    • Refreshment Corner (lunch / dinner) – All-beef hot dogs, chili, and of course, chili dogs, are available on their milk allergy-friendly menu. The hot dogs are served with chips and mandarin oranges. They also sell those Bavarian-style Mickey pretzels.

    Disneyland Park: ADVENTURELAND

    • Bengal BBQ (all day / night snacks) – Their outback vegetable skewers are vegan (but cooked on a shared grill), and they have a plant-based hummus trio. We’ve also been told select meaty skewers can be dairy-free on request – just be sure to check on the sauce (some contain dairy), and about grill cross-contamination issues, if concerned.
    • South Seas Traders (all day) – This fruit stand is loaded with fruit in all forms: whole, cut, fresh and dried. They also have some veggie snacks and pickles.

Any suggestions for dipping the Mickey pretzels? Do they have anything other than cheese sauce?

Also, do they have dairy free butter options for the Mickey waffles?

Thanks for all you do! I appreciate that I can rely on you to help me and my boys find safe foods to eat.

Yes, at last check with corporate, the Mickey pretzels themselves were made without milk. We’ve got them listed (where you can get them) in the restaurants above!
We have not personally experience vegan butter options for the Mickey Waffles, but it could be possible at some locations – particularly the resorts. I would check!

This list was amazing, thank you!! I felt like I could safely participate in snacks around the park with this guide! One thing I wanted to share with my fellow dairy-free’s: I just got back from Disneyland and got the vegan ice cream at Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor; it was apparent that it isn’t requested often by guests. I watched them scraping it out of the container with all their might and it tasted freezer burned. They don’t have this on their menus or advertized anywhere in their shop, but if they did it might be a better, fresher product. I’ve given some feedback to Disney on this. I made up for it with a Dole Whip! 🙂

Firstly, thank you so much for all you do!
I’m at Disneyland eating at Lucky Fortune Cookery. I planned to order the crispy chicken sandwich, but the cast members said it wasn’t on the dairy-safe menu even though it’s listed on the one online. I ordered the teriyaki chicken instead. I just wanted to share my experience.

Not all of the flavors – see the post above – there is info on the plain and a couple varieties.

Thank you so much for this. I have a three year old who is allergic to dairy and we are on our way to Disney tomorrow.

This will be invaluable. ???????? She’ll have a great time trying lots of the things you’ve listed.

Thank you thank you thank you! I’m highly allergic to milk, that has recently gotten pretty severe (even if the food label says “contains less then 2% of…”, my throat will swell and shut completely, as well as my lungs amongst other common allergic reactions) and it has been a nightmare trying to find out what places has dairy free options. I’m a frequent Disneyland visitor so this literally has saved me hours of research on food. This is awesome!

Thank you so much for this amazing list! My 9yo daughter and I love Disneyland. Her FPIES allergy to casein can make all-day outings like Disneyland a challenge. Your breakdown of the restaurants by area and what is safe to order is outstanding. For the first time in a long time, I felt comfortable entering the park without a backpack full of “safe food”.
