Updated in 2025! In honor of the 50th anniversary of Disney World, we originally created this detailed dairy-free guide to the Magic Kingdom. We’re now up to 54 years, and still updating this very popular post! It’s broken into two parts: Magic Kingdom Park and Magic Kingdom Disney Resorts.

Disney World: Your Dairy-Free Magic Kingdom Guide
Using the map of the parks, we’ve listed the Magic Kingdom sections clockwise from the entrance – or heading left when you enter the park. The Disney hotels and resorts near the Magic Kingdom are also listed clockwise, starting on the east side of the park, and ending on the west side. If you discover any changes, or find some additional dairy-free options, kindly leave a comment!
Please Note: In many cases, the dairy-free or food allergy-friendly options at Disney World require special ordering. So always let the staff know what your dietary needs are and if you have a food allergy. Disney World restaurants have protocols in place for handling allergy orders. Menu items and ingredients are subject to change at any time, and potential cross-contamination with allergens should always be considered a risk in commercial kitchens. The following is a guide for informational purposes. It is intended to help with your planning, but should not replace your own due diligence. Only you can decide what is “safe” for your needs.
Magic Kingdom Park: MAIN STREET
- Casey’s Corner (all day / night) – This hot dog spot serves two different plant-based, dairy-free sausage dogs, plain and one Chicago-style. At last check, the all-beef hot dogs and chili dogs without cheese were made without milk, but verify before ordering. All hot dogs are served with fries (made in shared fryers) or fruit. Some people have reported gluten-free, dairy-free buns at this establishment (that contain egg), but we aren’t sure on their current availability. Their chili is also reportedly dairy-free and gluten free.
- Main Street Bakery (all day / night snacks) – This is a Starbucks. See our Starbucks Dairy-Free Menu Guide for full details.
- Plaza Ice Cream Parlor (all day / night) – They scoop dairy-free raspberry sorbet at this Disney World ice cream shop, but also offer creamy vegan flavors (often vanilla and chocolate), which you can enjoy in a cup or cone. They also have some dairy-free toppings, including peanut butter sauce. Also, make sure you request allergy-friendly cookie “ears” or no cookies. Two standard cookie “ears” automatically come with ice cream cone orders, unless requested without.
- The Crystal Palace (breakfast / lunch / dinner) – This is a buffet that has an allergy menu on site for all current options. There is usually a good selection of milk-free choices for all meals. They also typically have some vegan desserts. But if a buffet is daunting for cross contamination concerns, the chef will come out and tell you custom options that they can prepare for you. And yes, they can do Mickey waffles!
- The Plaza Restaurant (lunch / dinner) – This is a great spot for handhelds. Their milk allergy menu includes a turkey club sandwich, chipotle barbecue pork sandwich, vegan chili burger, kids’ turkey sandwich, kids’ PB&J, fries, seasonal vegetables, and fresh fruit. And you can custom order a stripped-down, dairy-free beef burger. They also have a milk allergy-friendly house salad or shrimp Louie entree salad. For dessert, they have vegan dark chocolate banana bread pudding with dairy-free ice cream (soy-based).
- Tony’s Town Square Restaurant (lunch / dinner) – This Italian eatery is limited for dairy-free guests, but they do offer vegan spaghetti and meatballs and affogato for dessert (complete with dairy-free vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce). The kids’ menu adds grilled chicken with roasted potatoes, pasta with turkey meatballs, green beans and carrots, and fruit to the options.
Magic Kingdom Park: ADVENTURELAND
- Aloha Isle (all day / night snacks) – They serve dairy-free pineapple Dole Whip soft serve in a cup or in a pineapple float. Skip the coconut and vanilla “Dole Whips” – those do contain dairy.
- Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen (lunch / dinner) – The dairy-free appetizers include vegan falafel with house made hummus, a ceviche-style tuna, and jungle greens salad. The entree options are curried vegetable stew, char siu pork, crispy fried chicken, duck fried rice, catch of the day with stew, and a shrimp noodle bowl. For kids, they offer a tofu coconut curry dish, cola-braised barbecue beef, crispy chicken, grilled chicken, and basic sides. On the dessert menu, you can enjoy lime panna cotta.
- Sunshine Tree Terrace (all day / night snacks) – They have dairy-free orange and strawberry Dole Whip soft serve flavors, which can be ordered in a cup or in one of their floats.
- The Beak and Barrel – This is primarily a drinks and snacks spot. At last check, their signature Kraken’s Catch, a marinated octopus dish, was dairy-free and gluten-free.
Magic Kingdom Park: FRONTIERLAND
- Golden Oak Outpost (all day snacks) – The hot honey chicken with sweet potato fries is a milk allergy friendly option! But the beignets do contain dairy.
- Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe (lunch / dinner) – They offer milk allergy-friendly burgers and also have a build-your-own rice bowl menu with meat and vegan protein options. For dessert, they have mini churros and allergy-friendly cookies.
- Westward Ho (all day snacks) – If you need a light refresh, you can stop in here for chips and a slushy. Unfortunately, the donut holes do contain both milk and egg.
Magic Kingdom Park: LIBERTY SQUARE
- Columbia Harbour House (lunch / dinner) – This seafood spot has a petite little dairy-free menu of grilled salmon with green beans and rice, chicken strips with fries, and a vegan crispy mushroom roll with fries.
- Liberty Square Market (all day snacks) – Refuel with one of their famous turkey legs, a Mickey Bavarian-style pretzels (hold the cheese dip), fruit, pickles, and some other grab-and-go munchies. They also have all-beef hot dogs, which might be made without dairy. Verify the buns on site.
- Liberty Tree Tavern (lunch / dinner) – They have an “all-you-care-to-enjoy” feast menu with some great down-home, dairy-free options for families. They include pot roast, vegan meatloaf, mashed potatoes (no gravy), bread stuffing, and seasonal vegetables. For dessert, you can enjoy sorbet, allergy-friendly cookies, or apple cake.
- Sleepy Hollow (night snacks) – At last check, they did not offer a vegan, gluten-free, or allergy-friendly waffle option at this restaurant. And their funnel cakes do contain milk. They offer turkey legs at night only. Their house-made chips might be dairy-free – please report back if you find out!
- The Diamond Horseshoe (lunch / dinner) – Their menu is identical to Liberty Tree Tavern. They have a set price menu for kids and adults with dairy-free pot roast, vegan meatloaf, mashed potatoes (no gravy), bread stuffing, and seasonal vegetables. And for dessert, they also have sorbet, allergy-friendly cookies, or apple cake.
Magic Kingdom Park: FANTASYLAND
- Be Our Guest Restaurant (lunch / dinner) – Like many of the other set price menu restaurants at Disney World, the dairy-free options are limited. They currently have gluten-free dinner rolls or potato leek soup for the appetizer, a vegan charred eggplant entree, and vegan vanilla cake for dessert. The kids menu offers a fresh fruit appetizer; grilled steak, chicken strips, or pan-seared chicken breast for the entree with brown rice and vegetable sides; and fruit (again) for dessert.
- Cheshire Cafe (all day refresh) – All of their snacks contain dairy, but they have a couple slushy flavors that are dairy-free and vegan when ordered without whip.
- Cinderella’s Royal Table (breakfast / lunch / dinner) – This fairytale dining experience has a set price menu where you can select your options. For breakfast they have a dairy-free traditional egg, potato, and bacon breakfast or a vegan version. Kid’s options also include fruit and seed oatmeal. But there are no dairy-free pastry options. For lunch and dinner, crispy pork belly and blue “cheese” salad appetizers, catch of the day and roasted cauliflower entrees, and a strawberry meringue dessert. The kids menu adds seared fish, grilled steak, rice pilaf, fruit, and seasonal sorbet to the dairy-free menu.
- Gaston’s Tavern (all day snack) – If you need to cool off during daylight hours (they close at 7pm), LeFou’s Brew is reportedly dairy-free and vegan. It’s a no sugar added, frozen apple slush with a light toasted marshmallow flavor and passion fruit-mango foam.
- Pinocchio Village Haus (lunch / dinner) – It’s pizza for everyone at this casual spot! Their milk allergy menu includes “cheese” and meat pizzas with vegan cheese alternative, chicken strips, french fries, and allergy-friendly cookies. Most of these items can also be ordered gluten-free and top allergen-free.
- Prince Eric’s Village Market (midday snacks) – Almost everything at this snack spot is made without dairy. Enjoy the turkey leg, jumbo soft pretzel (no cheese), pickles, grapes, and slushies.
- Storybook Treats (all day / night snack) – They have dairy-free fruity Dole Whip soft serve (the flavor can change) and offer Peter Pan floats with sprite (hold the chocolate feather).
- The Friar’s Nook (breakfast / lunch) – This isn’t a recommended spot for dairy-free park visitors. We’ve head the all-beef hot dog with tater tots (could have shared fryer cross contamination risk) is an option, but verify before ordering.
Magic Kingdom Park: TOMORROWLAND
- Cool Ship (midday snacks) – Talk about a treat! The culinary team for Cool Ship let us know the popcorn, cinnamon glazed nuts, and cotton candy can accommodate dairy-free needs.
- Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café (lunch / dinner) – Their out-of-this-world milk allergy menu includes angus burgers, vegan patty melts, grilled chicken sandwiches, spicy fried chicken sandwiches, chicken strips, french fries, and allergy-friendly cookies.

For dessert, they have allergy-friendly chocolate chip cookies and scoops of vanilla and chocolate dairy-free ice cream (soy-based).
Disney World Magic Kingdom: Dairy-Free Snacks & Treats throughout the Parks
There are snack carts and concessions throughout the park. Some of these items are noted in restaurants above, but they might also be sold via carts. Here are some dairy-free items to keep an eye out for.
- Bavarian-Style Mickey-Shaped Pretzel (skip the cheese dip)
- Cinnamon Glazed Almonds
- Cotton Candy
- Fresh Fruit
- Lemonade and Frozen Lemonade
- Popcorn (they use a canola oil or corn oil and coconut oil blend, not butter)
- Turkey Legs
- Frozen Popsicles
Note: Unfortunately, the churros do contain milk. The all-beef hot dogs in the Magic Kingdom are usually dairy free, but verify at each location as the buns can vary. We have not been able to verify if the egg rolls in the Magic Kingdom are dairy-fee. Please let us know if you find out!

Disney World Food Allergy & Special Diet Information
Guests with food allergies or intolerances are allowed to bring food into Disney World parks and into the restaurants. When you enter the park, let the Security Cast Member at bag check know that someone in your party has a food allergy or intolerance. They can’t store any food for you, and there are no preparation facilities on site, but you can carry around ready-to-eat food yourself.
According to Disney World, food allergic guests who are dealing with top allergens do not need to contact restaurants in advance of arrival. Simply discuss any dietary requirements with a Cast Member upon arrival at the restaurant. You can also request to consult with a chef or special diets-trained Cast Member.
Disney World dining staff is also well trained with common special diets like plant-based/vegan, low sugar, and low carb. So no advanced notice is needed. That said, if you have any special diet needs, it is helpful to note them if making an online reservation.
Kosher requests should be made at least 24 hours in advance. And if you have less common food allergies or special diet needs, Disney World recommends contacting their team at least 14 days in advance of your visit. They can be reached at Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com.
Is Disney World Truly Allergy-Friendly?
Many years ago, Chef Joel Schaefer spearheaded Disney’s groundbreaking food allergy initiatives and ensured that all of their restaurants could better accommodate food-allergic guests. He recognized that Disney restaurants all strived to meet guests’ needs, but each restaurant handled food allergies differently, and each had its own food allergy procedures.
Schaefer streamlined Disney’s food allergy protocols to create a more consistent system and ensure that every Disney restaurant followed specific company procedures. As a result, Disney World’s various restaurants and hotels are widely considered the “gold standard” in serving food-allergic guests, allowing families with food allergies to truly enjoy the happiest place on earth.
Collaborating closely with Disney’s food safety department, procurement team, legal team, restaurant chefs and managers, Chef Joel trained Disney’s chefs, managers, cooks and servers on food allergy procedures. Additionally, he examined the various products they were using, checking to see which were free of the “Big 8″ allergens. During this process, he asked for guest feedback, wanting to know which brands and products food-allergic guests used themselves.
Disney guests have many different food allergies, so I had to find pancake mix, breads, beverages and other products that were free of common allergens, to serve to guests with various – and often multiple – allergies. We also designated special equipment for food allergic guests – separate griddles, waffle irons, etc. – and trained the entire staff on how to avoid cross-contact.
With Chef Joel’s guidance, the chefs at Disney World were also able to accommodate less common food allergies, creating customized meals without any of a guests’ “trigger foods.” Since his time with Disney, he has authored the book, Serving People with Food Allergies: Kitchen Management & Menu Creation, to help other establishments accommodate special diet guests.
